IntelliEd Academy, an initiative by the creators of IntelliBricks, brings years of educational expertise to personalized K-12 tutoring. While IntelliBricks has successfully delivered STEM enrichment classes in over 100 schools across the greater Sacramento area, IntelliEd Academy focuses on providing individualized support to bilingual students. Responsibilities:

• Provide 1-on-1 or small group tutoring sessions (up to 3 students) via Zoom.
• Assess students’ academic strengths and areas for improvement during initial meetings.
• Develop customized tutoring plans to address individual student needs.
• Offer support in specific subjects such as Math, Science, Language Arts, or other academic disciplines.
• Communicate regularly with students and their parents/guardians to monitor progress and provide feedback.
• Maintain a schedule of availability on the Zoom scheduling platform for students to book sessions.
• Ensure a welcoming, inclusive environment for students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.

Required Qualifications:

• Bilingual with fluency in English and one of the following languages: Dari/Farsi, Ukrainian/Russian, or Spanish.
• Minimum of two years of experience working with elementary or middle school students in roles such as teaching, tutoring, or leading youth-focused programs.
• A high school diploma, or current enrollment in or completion of a degree program at a recognized two- or four-year college or university. Current high school juniors and seniors with strong academic standing will also be considered for tutoring elementary school students.
• Strong academic proficiency in one or more subjects, with experience in tutoring, teaching, or related educational fields preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students effectively and create a positive learning environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor while ensuring firm and respectful boundaries with students.
• Ability to develop engaging, student-centered lesson plans tailored to individual needs.
• Proficient in using virtual tools such as Zoom and other digital platforms for online instruction, as well as standard software like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with devices such as Chromebooks and Apple products, with the ability to assist students and families in troubleshooting common technology issues, including internet connectivity, computer functionality, and video conferencing.
• Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
