LEGO^® Robotics: Marine Bots

Plunge into the ocean’s depths with our LEGO^® Robotics Marine Bots theme, where students create models inspired by sea life and maritime adventures, such as fishing rods, crab boats, and sealions. Using motors and sensors that integrate seamlessly with traditional LEGO^® bricks, they’ll explore the basics of robotics. As they bring their marine creations to life through a child-friendly drag-and-drop programming interface, students delve into mechanical concepts including gears, pulleys, levers, and cams. All necessary tools, from laptops to Lego^®, are provided for group collaboration.

LEGO^® Robotics: Carnival Games

When life gets dull you can always count on the thrills and excitement of a carnival to lift your spirits. With the IntelliBricks Carnival Games theme, you can learn to build working models of entertainment classics like pinball machines, angry bird catapults, race cars and more. Children will build and sharpen their collaboration and computational thinking skills, as they build with sophisticated technology and a variety of sensors, programming their finished creations with intuitive WeDo coding software!

LEGO^® SPIKE Robotics: Build & Code Adventure Camp

Let your little engineers work on big ideas! Build a catapult and program it to launch every few minutes, construct a cross bow and learn the physics concepts of force and tension, attach a tilt sensor to your fighter plane and program it to automatically speed up and slow down. Possibilities are endless with our LEGO^® elements. Our experienced instructors will guide your children through various projects.

LEGO^® Robotics: Adventure bots

Set off on an adventure by constructing Lego® models such as Hang gliders, wakeboards, and Kayaks in our Adventure Bots class. We introduce students to robotics by building engaging Lego® models equipped with motors and sensors that seamlessly snap onto traditional Lego®. After assembly, students link their creations to computers using advanced Bluetooth technology in the electronics, then program them with a child-friendly drag-and-drop interface to animate their models, learning about the physics principles like pulleys and gears along the way. All necessary materials, including laptops and Lego®, are provided, and students collaborate in small groups. It’s important to note that students cannot take home any Lego®. Please note, this program is not endorsed or affiliated with the Lego® Group of companies.

LEGO^® Minecraft^® Animation

LEGO^® Minecraft^® class is an exciting and educational experience into the world of stop-motion animation. Using LEGO^®  building sets based on the Minecraft^® theme, students will stage their own scenes from a storyboard and take photos of the scene to tell a story. Then they will edit the images in the Frames 6 animation software where they will add effects, sound and more. Finally, they will export their project to a video file that they can take home on a USB drive.

Digital Drawing and Design: The Creative Dreamscapes!

Embark on a Journey of Imagination with our Digital Drawing class. In this exciting class, students will unlock a universe of artistic possibilities through daily projects that inspire creativity and exploration. From enchanting night skies to whimsical landscapes, each day brings a new adventure as students learn essential design concepts and techniques. They will discover the fundamentals of digital art, incorporating elements of traditional art such as Form, Shape, and Texture. Equipped with pressure-sensitive Wacom drawing pads, students will experience the precision and freedom of digital tools, mirroring the capabilities of manual drawing instruments. Give your students the chance to express their creativity and develop their artistic skills in a vibrant and supportive environment, where they can truly create their dreamscapes!

(Please note: Laptops will be provided for each student to practice their drawing skills, Children will be given a pendrive as a takeaway at the end of the course with all their projects.)

Unlock Your Imagination: A Digital Drawing Adventure Camp

Unleash your creativity at Unlock Your Imagination: A Digital Drawing Adventure Camp! Students will explore their artistic potential through engaging projects that spark their imagination. Each day brings new adventures, from crafting imaginative landscapes to designing unique characters. Using Autodesk Sketchbook and pressure-sensitive Wacom drawing pads, they’ll learn essential digital art techniques while incorporating traditional elements like Form and Shape. Guided by skilled instructors, campers will develop their artistic skills and gain confidence in expressing their unique visions.

(Please note: Laptops will be provided for each student to practice their drawing skills, Children will be given a pendrive as a takeaway at the end of the course with all their projects.)

Game Design with SCRATCH

Game design with SCRATCH is coming back again after popular demand with all new games! It’s fun to play video games, it’s even more fun to design your own game! Students will not only learn the characteristics of a good game like speed, obstacles, scoring, visual appeal and sound effects, they will also learn the basics of coding like variables, if then statements, logic, loops etc. To add to this students will learn to create cool characters (sprites) for their game and build the backdrop for the games they create. 

(Please note: Laptops will be provided for each student. A pen drive with all their projects will be given as a take away for each student at the end of the course )

DASH Public speaking

Public speaking can be scary, but with some practice, tricks, and preparation, it can instead be a thrilling form of self-expression! While we go through the process of writing a thoughtful speech with fluid organization, we learn the steps of effective memorization and work on the actor-like performance aspects of public speaking. The end result: a student who is confident in their self, their ideas, and their speaking abilities. After our DASH public speaking course for young learners premiered last year, we were greeted with calls for more! This year, we are back with even more focus on what you asked for – speaking, speaking, and speaking! Whether you joined us last year or you are new to the program, we are excited to welcome you to the group, and eager to help your student become their most confident self.
